ICEC vola a Tokyo Leather Fair per presentare le certificazioni

ICEC are going to fly over to Tokyo Leather Fair to present leather industry certifications. The Italian institute, running since 1994, will hold two workshops at the Toritsu Sangyo Boeki Centre, on December 3 and 5.

Presenting certifications

One primary goal that brings ICEC to Tokyo Leather fair is to present its own history alongside its activities. During the meetings, whose admittance is free, they are going to talk about a number of topics, such as voluntary certifications and potential interventions as to quality and sustainability, to apply to hides and companies, as well as transparency and traceability in the leather-tanning industry.

Participating guests on December 3

Sabrina Frontini, ICEC chief director, is going to be the speaker at the workshops. For the records, some more people will also give a speech during the meeting scheduled on December 3. In fact, Italian tanneries, participating, as exhibitors, in the Japanese fair, and certified by ICEC, will gather as a panel. A few representatives of Gruppo Vecchia Toscana-Ilcea, Italven Conceria, M2 Conceria, Montana and Onda Verde Conceria will tell about their own cooperating experience with the certification institute, while illustrating, at the same time, the enhancements they could achieve thanks to certifications.

ICEC to become more international

ICEC keeps becoming more and more international. In fact, the institute, which also certifies tanneries in Serbia, Spain, Tunisia and Turkey, has recently signed a partnership agreement with American LHCA. On top of that, ICEC also collaborates with Spanish and Catalan associations and the Portuguese research institute. Likewise, they actively liaise with homologous Brazilian institute, CSCB.
