The new KLF Tecnokimica hub in Santa Croce opened on June 25: the chemical company showed its new production plant in Santa Croce sull’Arno during an evening event with friends, customers, and representatives of local institutions. This event provided an opportunity to explore the potential of the new site, which has been operational since December 2025. The facility extends over 4,000 square meters and includes a warehouse, wet-end and finishing laboratory, drum department, showroom, and offices.
“This work represents a significant investment focused on quality”, Marco Frediani, the company’s president, tells us. “We planned the construction of the production plant based on our needs, a production of one thousand tonnes per month” of chemical products for the tanning world. “It is an important step forward in our company’s growth path”, says the entrepreneur.

“This project was kicked off in 2021 and was not easy to complete”, Frediani explains. The site focuses on innovation with 4.0 machinery, automated equipment aimed at measuring traceability and maintaining “high service quality”. “The company has two souls”, the entrepreneur continues, “a production side that ensures knowledge of the products, and a part dedicated to technical assistance and the applicability of our solutions”.
Confidence in the sector
KLF Tecnokimica’s investment, during a period of cyclical slowdown, demonstrates a certain willingness to believe in the sector’s recovery. “Some people tell us we were brave”, says Frediani. “I believe that investing in the future is the only thing we can do. Continuing to innovate, invest in the territory, and offer our customers cutting-edge expertise, services, and technologies”. The chemical company has a staff of around 24 people, “passionate manufacturers of chemical products for tanneries”.
