ACLE closes, confirming a weak demand for Chinese footwear, grows that of the Vietnamese

ACLE (All China Leather Exhibition), just concluded, confirms that the Chinese shoe market is still weak. The numbers published by CLIA (the Beijing National Leather Association) before the three-day trade show explained that the shoe trend has been decreasing since the beginning of the year. During the kermesse (Shanghai, August 30 – September 1), however, the demand for leather was OK.  ACLE is a fair whose centre of gravity is in the Chinese market, but there is a glimpse of what is happening in the leather of other countries. Despite this, the indiscretion has disappeared that the shoe groups of Vietnam, a country that is consolidating its role in the global footwear market, are looking for new suppliers of finished leather.
