Digital operations, from LVMH to YNAP’s new CEO

Digital operations. First, was Ian Roger’s resignation from his post as Chief Digital Officer of LVMH, as he decided to leave to join crypto-currency start-up Ledger. Also, some movements took place in YNAP’s management. Starting January 4th 2021, Geoffroy Lefebvre (in side box), will take over Federico Marchetti as CEO (in photo), who will continue to hold the title of President.

Ian Rogers left his post. Mr. Rogers initially took on the position in LVMH in 2015, which was a position created exactly for him. According to Business of Fashion, the group is planning on creating a position of Chief Omnichannel Officer to be given to the current VP of Louis Vuitton, Michael David. Rogers, ex-manager of Apple Music, will become a part of Ledger, French tech start-up, but will continue to collaborate with LVMH as a consultant. According to BoF, an official statement made by the group states that the E-commerce channel has grown to account for more than 10% of LVMH’s total sales, thanks to Mr. Rogers’ leadership. Future priorities will include the acceleration in migrating brands toward platforms and the usage of data and AI. Together with these, there will also be “a specific attention to the fast development of the Chinese ecosystem”.

YNAP’s CEO

YNAP decided to nominate Lefebvre, current director of the group’s digital distribution (currently controlled by Richemont), asits new CEO starting from January 4th, 2021. “And I am happy to introduce Geoffroy, who has been driving the expansion of Richemont’s e-Commerce for the past two years”, commented Johann Rupert, president of Richemont. A few days ago Net-a-Porter’s managing director, Nicola Brandolese (ex Zanotti), also left his post.
