Pitti Bimbo: even for the little ones, fashion rewards leather

Leather, precious and used in many shades, is among the fashion solutions on show at Pitti Bimbo, an event that opened on Wednesday, 21 June, and continued until Friday, 23 June, at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence. Colours, light-heartedness and playfulness are the ingredients of the three-day event that sees 230 brands present, 75% of which come from abroad. On show were the 2024 summer collections.

Leather at Pitti Bimbo

Leather, declined in attractively designed accessories, is the protagonist of Illy Trilly collections, an English brand with an Italian heart (photo, left) like its creative director Ilaria Mercanti. Accessories, bags in the most diverse patterns, eyeglass cases and a whole world of fashion elements embellished by the use of quality leather. From accessories to footwear. Several collections on show at Pitti Bimbo proposed an original mix in the use of materials.

As in the models of the brand Mou, which uses leather, suede, canvas, sequins and processed materials for a modern style that satisfies all needs, from fashion content to workmanship. Safety and experimentation are the watchwords for the brand Bobux (distributed in Italy by MrTiggle), which brings leather shoes in different colours and materials to Pitti Bimbo. Distinguishing features: top quality leathers, craftsmanship and an eye for certification of the materials used.

Children’s fashion rewards leather

In the meantime, the good influx of visitors at Pitti Bimbo seems to confirm the data of the first months of 2023, that saw the export of reference clothing recover after the slowdown in 2022. Among the booths at the fair, for now, one confirmation: the childrenswear segment also recognises the quality of leather.
