Prada paints it with comics, Versace packs its trenches: leather galore at Milan Fashion Mens

“In the past, I never paid attention to comics” admitted Miuccia Prada. But the Milanese stylist has changed her mind putting cartoons on her leather accessories for Prada’s spring summer 2018 collection. Likewise, leather was also the protagonist of the trench designed by Donatella Versace for the celebrations dedicated to Brother Gianni, who died in 1997, twenty years ago. Once Milan Moda Uomo ended, The National Chamber of Italian Fashion reported positive results on Italian men’s fashion in the first three months of 2017. Growth in the sector, ranging from 4 to 5%, is driven mainly by exports (more than 5%). Among the best-selling commercial outlets are Germany (+ 13%), United Kingdom (+ 22%) and Belgium (+ 11%) and Spain (+ 9%). Among non-European markets, Asia (+ 11%, spikes to South Korea and Hong Kong), and Russia (+ 21%).
