From automobiles to luxury: Peugeot invests 20 million in Florence group

Peugeot invests 20 million in Florence group, thus making an entrance in the made-in-Italy luxury manufacturing segment. The family made the operation through Peugeot Invest, the same one through which it holds 7% of Stellantis, the group created by the brand’s merger with Fiat-Chrysler (owner of a few brands). Corriere della Sera writes that put together, the group has a value of 6.4 billion euro.

According to press newsRobert Peugeot (the 73 years old president of Peugeot Invest and VP of Stellantis) wishes to diversify the action of its fund. It’s interesting to analyze the situation, because the same fund bought 5.1% of Rothschild & Co in order to de-list it, while then focusing on Florence group, which includes 26 third-party manufacturers working with luxury brands. International investors appear to not just see growth potential for the made-in-Italy segment, but seems to also recognize luxury manufacturing as strong-standing segment.
