Metal accessories: Eurmoda-Morgot buys 100% of Macuz

A new cluster active in the luxury accessories’ segment is growing its strength. Eurmoda-Margot group announced the acquisition of 100% of Macuz, located in Florence and active in the production of high-quality metal accessories. With this operation, Eurmoda could reach a revenue of 100 million euro by the end of the year. Starting January 2024, holding Margot and ABC Morini will merge with Eurmoda, which will become the head of the cluster manufacturing accessories for the fashion industry.

100% of Macuz

Eurmoda-Margot acquired Nacuz, which was founded in Florence in 1952 by Marcello and Alma Macuz. The Macuz family will reinvest in the group and remain actively involved in the management activities of the company. WWD riporta reported that the revenue of the company is between 25 and 30 million euro per year. Overall, the newly created group will generate a turnover of about 100 million euro. With the start of the new year, holdings Margot and ABC Morini will merge with Eurmoda.

Eurmoda’s creation

The reference segment (accessories for the luxury industry) confirms its dynamic status, as for many years M&A operations have been taken place. The last one sees Margot, owned since 2019 by  MCP (Mindful Capital Partners), as it purchased Eurmoda (headquartered in Pederobba-Treviso), then Alce in Valsamoggia (Bologna), ABC Morini in Scandicci (Florence), Simel 2.0 in Marcon (Venice) and Venetie in Romano d’Ezzelino (Vicenza). In total: 8 manufacturing sites between the regions of Veneto, Emilia-Romagna, and Tuscany, where over 30 million products are created each year.

The comments

For Eurmoda’s CEO Marco Vecellio, “Macuz is a pioneer in the development of the manufacturing segment (servicing the luxury industry) in Italy”. Auro Macuz, CEO of Macuz, commented: “I am sure the merger between Eurmoda and MCP will guarantee the continuation of a sustainable growth path that has never stopped”.
