Italian shoemaking tradition seeks UNESCO heritage status

Italy’s shoemaking tradition is seeking recognition as an item of UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. The initiative is being promoted by Assocalzaturifici, Museimpresa, Cercal and Politecnico Calzaturiero through the Promoting Committee for the Safeguarding and Enhancement of the Art of Italian Shoemaking.
