It is (also) possible to learn about shoe-making online in Europe. CEC’s remote training kicks off

“Shoes made in EU”, the name of the project by the European Confederation of the Footwear Industry, which is going to launch its first online training course. The lack of manpower in the shoe-making sector isn’t simply an Italian problem, but it is a European one. The project aims at fighting the loss of ‘know-how’ in the sector, by promoting education and training. In addition, the project attempts to requalify shoe-making under a European profile, not simply a national one.  People already working in sector, as well as students, that are interested in working in the industry, should register for free online and can access all the materials necessary for the course, which explains all parts of the production process. The educational course includes presentations, videos, exercises and self-assessment tests in its dynamic online portal. The material is available in English, Italian, Portuguese, German, French, and Polish.
