An exhibition, investments in corporate welfare, and the first Sustainability Report. Masoni Industria Conciaria has recently launched three initiatives that reinforce the Tuscan company’s local roots (even if it’s part of LVMH, Métiers d’Art) while renewing its focus on employee well-being. The tannery is also expanding its commitment to cultural activities and initiatives designed to raise community awareness of the company’s values. The first initiative announced was the publication of its first sustainability report, followed closely by the decision to support employees with parental leave and other benefits.
Masoni’s three initiatives
The temporary exhibition “Sonus Operae” will open on October 21 at Masoni’s MENOUNOstudium space and will be dedicated to the sense of hearing. “A journey into the tanning world”, the company’ statement says, “where the sounds of work take shape through a process of recording and reworking the sounds generated by tannery activities”. Machinery, activities, and processing stages were isolated and arranged to form the rhythmic structure of two musical tracks recorded on vinyl. The exhibition project follows the path launched four years ago with the first exhibition dedicated to sight and color, followed last year by one dedicated to touch. Once again, visitors will take part in playful and educational activities.
Birth welfare
“For every child born to an employee, we provide a supply of diapers”, the company wrote on social media, “a small, concrete gesture to support families in the first few months and make the arrival of a child a little lighter”. It’s a project linked to the value of family and intended to support new generations. “Our company isn’t made just of work and results”, Masoni said. “It’s made above all of people, families and, from time to time, even storks”.
2026 Sustainability Report
Among the projects recently announced by the company is the publication of its first Annual Sustainability Report. The document presents the initiatives undertaken and the results achieved in environmental, social, and governance areas, together with the objectives that will guide the tannery in the future. Through this reporting, Masoni aims to demonstrate its commitment to transparency and to “combine responsibility, innovation, and sustainable growth”.
