Intreccincantiere 2025 honours four visions of creative futures

Intreccincantiere 2025 has celebrated four distinct visions of creativity. The eleventh edition of the competition, promoted by Manifattura di Domodossola in collaboration with Lineapelle and Banco BPM, successfully ended in Milan. Hosted in the elegant setting of the Museo Bagatti Valsecchi, the event paid tribute to emerging talents in fashion, leather goods, footwear and design — reaffirming the contest’s strategic role in supporting the next generation of creativity. Its partnership with Lineapelle strengthened a shared message: investing in young talent means investing in the future of Italian luxury.

Four winners, four visions

Four students from leading Italian academies were awarded a €500 prize and a commemorative plaque: Benedetta Braghetti (footwear), Simone Di Vita (fashion), Andreana Guida (leather goods) and Beatrice Ilari (interior accessories). The School Award, introduced in 2024, went to Tokyo Mode Gakuen, an international benchmark for precision and design excellence. Welcoming guests was Camilla Bagatti Valsecchi, president of the museum, who emphasised the connection between historic beauty and artisanal innovation.

Luxury changes its skin

The event also provided a forum for discussion on the state of the industry. Fulvia Bacchi, CEO of Lineapelle, reiterated her commitment to supporting young people: “Lineapelle and Manifattura di Domodossola help the next generation in concrete ways, not just through publicity”. According to Domenico De Angelis of Banco BPM, “The luxury market is undergoing a major shift: it is returning to its roots, placing a renewed focus on the pursuit of absolute excellence. In this trend, I see significant opportunities, particularly for young Italian artisans and entrepreneurs who, as history shows, have the potential to stand out internationally”. Matteo Cavelli, president of Tessilivari, addressed the issue of generational transition, while journalist Marcello Foa offered an insightful perspective on global market dynamics. Closing the event, Giuseppe Polli, representing the third generation of Manifattura di Domodossola, underlined Italy’s central role in exports and the opportunities ahead for tomorrow’s designers.
