Kering invests 15 million Euros in exotic leather as they open a new factory at Tannerie de Périers

Expectations are considerable: to manufacture 90,000 to 100,000 skins and 40,000 hides a year; to increase their staff from 90 (they started with 45) up to 160 units; to redouble their turnover in a few years. On Thu 12 October Kering Group has officially inaugurated their new factory at Tannerie de Périers, a tannery which will be specifically up to reptile skins (especially crocodile). The group run by Pinault family has invested 15 million Euros in their new factory, which was depicted by French press as “an ultra-modern and cutting-edge plant in terms of sustainability”, as they were backed up by the Channel département local council.
