Unic at Maison & Objet to show French designers the quality of Italian leather; meanwhile the luxury furniture sector flies high

A showcase of ornaments and complementary furniture objects made with leather, to shoe the French public the stylistic value and quality of Italian leather. UNIC – Italian Tanners’ Association flies to Paris for Maison & Objet (September 7–11), a tradeshow dedicated to design and lifestyle. The Italian Tanners’ Association will be present with 17 products (11 barstools, 3 punchball and 3 deckchairs, leather-lined of course. They will be showcased in the Material Village space, a hub organized by Material Connexion Italia, international network consulting on materials. UNIC’s participation comes in the moment in which, according to Business of Fashion, luxury brands are paying more attention to design, both the ones that have been in this space for a while (Armani and Fendi), and those just entering (Gucci and Loewe). The caliber of the interest is such due to the promised growth of the segment. According to Euromonitor International’s data, furniture sales between 2017 and 2022 will grow 22%.
