Montblanc’s fashion debut: a triumph of leather

L’esordio di Montblanc nell’abbigliamento è un trionfo di pelle

For the first time in its 119-year history, Montblanc has made its debut in clothing. The collection — consisting of 16 all-leather looks designed by creative director Marco Tomasetta — was unveiled during Milan Men’s Fashion Week in June 2025.

Montblanc enters the world of fashion

This inaugural collection offers a functional yet sophisticated vision of the modern man’s wardrobe, entirely crafted in leather. Jackets, trench coats, trousers, shorts, and accessories are designed to “embody the desk in wearable form”, allowing individuals to “carry the act of writing intimately within their everyday style”, according to the press release. The Italian-made full-grain leather jackets are paired with accessories such as briefcases, backpacks and mini-pouches. Pockets and compartments are included to safely hold a writing instrument.

“These are garments that speak of writing not as a nostalgic act, but as a contemporary gesture”, Tomasetta told Next Gen Magazine. “I want writing to travel with you. I don’t want it to be something that lives only on a desk — it should be a companion in life. This is the most intimate expression of Montblanc’s heritage to date. Today, our audience is much younger, international, and self-aware. They’re not just looking for a product, but for a language. And writing can be just that — a personal code for self-expression”.
