Automotive: Lear accelerates the acquisition of Antolin. Spanish interior design brand goes to the US giant for 286 million euros

A “dowry” of 12 manufacturing plants, two technology centres, and 2,000 employees for a $ 300m turnover for Grupo Antolin, a Spanish car seat supplier, whose acquisition by Lear, one Of the global automotive giants, was finalised ahead of time. The transfer of property, which was initially scheduled for June and July, closed at $ 286 million and was completed over the last few days compared to what announced in February. “Grupo Antolin,” comments Matt Simoncini, CEO of Lear, “is a high-level transaction for Lear, in line with the strategy to invest in our core business, offering our customers a further qualitative upgrading.” Grupo Antolin, in fact, “is known for the quality and satisfaction of its clients and has a solid market position in Europe” – concluded Simoncini.
