GST Seton AutoLeather changed its name to reaffirm its values

GST Seton AutoLeather changed its name: it is now Pangea. The multinational automotive leather company recently announced the rebranding. The new name “represents our philosophy and our relationships – explain the company, founded in 1832 as a tannery in the States, and today a group with 5,000 employees on four continents -. Our history with leather connects us to the Earth, to others and to our global team of artisans who make everything possible”.

In 2018, GST escaped t bankruptcy, after a period in receivership, with a corporate restructuring. The multinational, which has North American roots and deep penetrations in Far East Asia, boasts manufacturing and commercial offices also in Europe (Germany and Hungary). The rebranding choice does not signal so much the need for a change of pace, but the reinforcement of its values. Pangea is the name of the super-continent that united all the lands that emerged before the fragmentation of the continents themselves. The reference to the origins of the planet for the group embodies “the principle that guides our work: not to destroy what nature has created, but rather to preserve and improve it”.
