The appointment is set for 15 July at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Florence for “La Chimica e la Pelle” — an event organised by ICEC, UNIC – Italian Tanneries, and UNPAC to engage with luxury brands, supply chain businesses, and stakeholders on topics relating to chemicals, analytical methods, and sustainability objectives.

The event’s panels will involve all players across the luxury value chain. Roundtable discussions will cover key topics such as “Chemical Substance Management”, “Standardised and In-House Analytical Methods”, “Total Fluorine – Analytical Methods and Reliability of Results”, and “The Origin and Management of Chemical-Related Requests”. Alongside ICEC, UNIC, and UNPAC, other participants will include standardisation bodies (UNI), water management providers (Acquarno and Acque del Chiampo), research and training centres (Po.Te.CO. and SSIP), and laboratories (CTC–Ars Tinctoria). Also attending will be the high fashion groups that design and distribute the products.
