The numbers say that the positive feeling at theMicam and Mipel are real: number of visitors growing, with Russians are coming back into the fold

The positive feelings of operators regarding visitors at theMicam are proven by the numbers, with 47,187 visitors they saw a rise of 5.6% in the number compared to the September 2016 edition. 27,880 visitors were foreign (+5%), and 19,307 Italian (+6.5%). Russia is pulling the weight, with 32% more visitors than the previous edition, and the same goes for the CSI area. The performance was also positive for the USA (+15%), as well as China and Hong Kong (+7%). As far Europe goes, French visitors were 6.7% more than the previous year, and Germans were 4% more. Same positive numbers for Mipel, international fair for leather goods, which was held the same days at theMicam. This edition there were 10% more exhibitors, and 17% more visitors, compared to the September 2016 edition. Impressive presence of Italian buyers, (+27%), while with regards to foreign visitors, once again Russian presence grows by 5%, and Ukrainian buyers grows by a staggering 29%. “Mipel is a fair that is still able to tell an ‘authentic’ story by using new language – comments Roberto Briccola, president of the exhibition center -: the story of the great shoemaking craftsmanship, that was joined (a few years ago), by new and innovative products that can be found on the international market.
