Tokyo Leather Fair rewards the Italian leather

The Japanese event, which confirms the positive trend of a market that loves Italian leather. It took place last week, on Thursday 8 and Friday, December 9, at the Metropolitan Industrial Center, the 95th edition of TLF, Tokyo Leather Fair. 31 exhibitors (Italian, French, Spanish) landed in the land of the rising sun with the collective organised by Lineapelle. One of them, Francesco Testai from Vecchia Toscana Group, says he was pleased with the trend observed in his stand and, in general, during the event. “The overall performance was in trend with last editions. Customers were all Japanese. TLF is the perfect event to be able to build a relationship of trust with the Japanese customers, and it’s critical in order to maintain a position within the Japanese market. ” Admitting he saw also some new buyers, he said that “the true interest went to the vegetable leather articles and to high- quality natural calf destined to footwear. Less interest was shown for chrome tanned leather which is something the Testoni was already aware. The fair welcomed about 5,000 visitors and proposed a space set by Lineapelle highlighting trends for the next winter season. Next edition will be held the 25 and 26 May 2017.
