Ukrainian signs: @Kiev tastes of recovery

A fair that tastes of recovery. La Moda Italiana @ Kiev closed on May 25, 2021. Even during this challenging period, exhibitors came out of the fair with positive results. Meanwhile, in Spain, Momad and Futurmoda plan their physical editions.

A fair that tastes of recovery

Loredano Corvaro (Head of Russia and CSI for footwear manufacturer Vittorio Virgili)

“Considering the overall context and the commercial delay with which the fair took place, it still wasn’t a bad idea to participate. Clients came but, due to the lack of sales from the past winter season, the orders that came in were limited to the pairs necessary to update the store offering. I do bring something positive back home: the visitors’’ wish to put the pandemic behind them and start doing business like before”.

Carlo Barbato (Accademia)

“If we look at the overall context, the fair had a positive outcome. The number of visitors and the orders placed were, of course, tied to the historic moment. Ukrainian clients visited the fair, even though there were some understandable absences after the long local lockdown. Still, it appears that visitors want to recover, and we will make ourselves ready with our collections”.

Momad and Futurmoda

More fairs are also coming to Spain. Momad, The International Textile, Footwear and Accessories Show, will take place live (and physically) from September 17th to 19th in Madrid. Futurmoda, on the other hand, announced it will be held live as well, for the 3rd time. After the failed attempts in October 2020 and April 2021, the international components, footwear machinery, leather and leather goods’ fair, decided to schedule its program for October 20th and 21st, 2021, in Elche.
