Lineapelle in Antwerp: sparks of excellence and contemporary flair

Lineapelle in Antwerp: sparks of excellence and contemporary flair

A meeting of excellences. The design, innovation and promotion of Italian style embodied by Lineapelle, and the creative energy of Antwerp — the Belgian city recognised as one of the world’s fashion capitals, where contemporary boundaries open onto new horizons of creativity and style. On Thursday 13 November, Lineapelle delivered a kind of lectio magistralis at The Mills. Aattracting — and more than merely attracting — the interest of a substantial audience of designers, communicators and industry professionals.

Lineapelle in Antwerp

The Mills is the name of the former textile mill that hosted Lineapelle and its narrative on how Italian manufacturing excellence in leather, materials and accessories translates into style and fashion. Introduced by Tindaro Paganini(Director of ITA – Italian Trade Agency Brussels), the event featured contributions from Fulvia Bacchi (CEO of Lineapelle) and Alessandra Siena (Lineapelle Training). The focus: effects and finishes for the Autumn/Winter 2026–2027 season.

Educational collaboration

There was more. “During the event”, Lineapelle explains, “prototypes of garments made by students of the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Visuels de La Cambre were displayed, created using material samples supplied by Lineapelle”. A new educational partnership with the school is currently being explored. This is a significant step, as it confirms Lineapelle’s vision of promoting and supporting the creativity of the future.

Sparks of excellence and contemporary flair

This vision has long found a natural home in Antwerp, as demonstrated by the story of the Antwerp Six. The group of six Belgian designers (Ann Demeulemeester, Dries Van Noten, Dirk Van Saene, Dirk Bikkembergs, Walter Van Beirendonck and Marina Yee, who passed away a few weeks ago). The Antwerp Six will be the focus of an exhibition opening in March 2026 at MoMu, the Antwerp Fashion Museum.
