Richmond-Moschillo war: latest round in favour of the Italian designer

Savierio Moschillo has obtained the suspension of the preliminary ruling from the Court of Milan (dated 20 June) that prevented him from using the Richmond and John Richmond trademarks within the European Union. The Italian designer himself broke the news with a press release picked up by Fashion Magazine. Moschillo wins the last battle of the legal war which sees him pitted against the Luxembourg investment company Fashioneast. Last December, the fund acquired 100% of the brands John Richmond, Richmond X, Richmond Denim, Richmond, Richmond Junior and JR, putting Brit John Richmond at the creative helm of the fashion house. Previously, the trademarks were owned by Akkurate Ltd., a company owned 50% by Moschillo and 35% by John Richmond, ex associates and now we can imagine ex friends. It is believed that the suspension is yet another update, but not the last chapter in the story. We haven’t heard the end of it.
