Tuscany, Hind buys the majority of screen printer Seriscreen

New purchase in the “made in Italy” environment for Holding Industriale (Hind). The Turin based investment company acquired, via Holding Moda, the majority of screen printer Seriscreen. This company based in Pian di Scò (Arezzo) and specialized in digital and UV printing on leather and textiles, is the 10th enterprise to enter the Holding Moda project. The operation is a consolidation of the entity inside the special manufacturing for Holding Moda. The goal is “to favor growth processes, internationalization and generational change” of the know-how of Italian manufacturing.

Holding Moda’s 10 companies

The acquisition of screen printer Seriscreen brings Holding Moda to 10 companies. And to a consolidated revenue of 185 million euro (estimated for 2022) created by 760 employees. The group includes Uno Maglia (jersey manufacturing), Alex & Co. (leather apparel) and RBS (coats). As well as Albachiara (light apparel for women), GAB (leather goods) and Project Officina Creativa (denim). Closing the list are Valmor (footwear), Famar (men and women apparel) and Rilievi Group (embellishment and embroidery).

Who is Seriscreen

Founded in 1982, it’s a reference company in the screen print segment, for advertising and packaging for Valdarno (Firenze/Arezzo). Since 2013, the company progressively specialized in creating finishings for the footwear and accessories industries: digital prints for leather and coated and precise screen prints on textiles, all highly customizable. Seriscreen generated 8 million euro in revenue in 2021 and employs about 50 highly qualified people.

The acquisition

Seriscreen’s founders, Gianluca Matassini and Matteo Mori will retain their roles. They will be joined by Giulio Guasco, CEO of Holding Moda, for strategic and managerial matters. “With this acquisition, Hind further strengthens its know-how in the special manufacturing segment, thanks to the market leadership of Seriscreen – commented Claudio Rovere, founder and president of Hind (in photo) -. The acquisition of Seriscreen is part of a larger project that aims at giving value to the excellence of made in Italy manufacturing, of which Hind is a promoter”.
