Clarks’ rebirth starts from manufacturing: new factories to three continents, the first in England

Clarks revives. Although the latest financial statements show a sharp drop in profits, the UK company, the world’s eighth-largest footwear group, will launch a new manufacturing facility in the UK in 2018. Also, Clarks plans to open new manufacturing facilities in the United States, Europe and Asia over the next few years. The new plant will be built at Street (Somerset) next to the company’s headquarters, with a production capacity of 300,000 pairs a year in Desert Boots and will host over eighty new workers among workers and employees. Clarks CEO, Mike Shearwood, said, “Clarks has always been the leader in shoe design and production, developing a significant part of the modern technology used for today’s production, and this new structure will help us continue this tradition in the” innovation”.
