Fake fur, eco-leather, vegan leather? No thanks. ONE OF is the sneaker made with “real materials”. And so the Boemos footwear manufacturer based in Fucecchio opened a startup by the same name and presented it during the last edition of Pitti Uomo. The new sneaker like is 100% made in Italy with materials 100% traceable. The shoes are manufactured inside the Tuscan company with high quality leather. “The leather we use is real leather. The unbleached cowhide is the real type – the company points out -. A well handcrafted shoe that pays particular attention to details and the quality of materials”. The structure of the sneaker is made of small leather pieces with different fantasies: printed crocodile, glittered leather, animalier and painted leather. Each model has different laces.
Uniqueness and traceability
There are no ongoing models, only “one of”, as suggest the name of the brand itself. Each collection has unique models that vary from season to season. A genderless shoe with 20 color combinations. The uniqueness isn’t just in the search for style, but also in the composition of the shoe itself. The ONE OF sneaker packaging (made of recycled paper) has a QR code used to determine the origin of shoe, thus making it traceable. From the rubber heel to the leather laces, the QR code allows the purchaser to see the name and location of the company supplying the piece.
“Real materials” sneaker
The ONE OF project represents a bet for Boemos. The company succeeds by producing for big luxury brands, with licenses to make Tom Ford, Jimmy Choo, Acne, and Versace sneakers. The ONE OF brand wishes to challenge the status-quo. The objective is to go against the tide, as shown by the “Runarchy attitude” slogan: the shoe has a curious and positively anarchic spirit (reads the brand’s description). Leather-made anarchy.
