Tecnica Group in 2024 +5%, now targets the US and China

There is a mountain that doesn’t fear change, but rather works to shape it. It’s the one climbed by Tecnica Group, the sports giant made in Veneto that today represents one of the brightest peaks of the industrial strategy of Italmobiliare, formerly Italcementi. At Capital Market Day 2025 in Milan, Carlo Pesenti’s holding company unveiled its course for the next five years: at the center is the 3,722-employee company based in Giavera del Montello, Treviso province, which since 1963 has been one of the most recognizable brands in the world for outdoor sports, especially winter ones.

Revenue rising

Tecnica Group ended 2024 with a revenue of 517 million euros, growing 5% annually and with 79 million in Ebitda, and withlmost 90% of volume going to foreign markets. Brands such as Nordica, Blizzard, Lowa, Rollerblade, and Moon Boot are global icons of Italian design and technology. Tecnica now produces 3.7 million shoes, 771,000 ski boots, 329,000 pairs of skis and 277,000 inline skates, distributed in more than 80 countries. A worldwide approach, with a “serene” soul. Of the 90% sold abroad, 60% is in Europe, while the remainder is divided equally between North America and the rest of the world.

Future aimed at other markets

The 2025-2030 plan looks straight toward conquering the U.S. and Chinese markets, where outdoor sports are growing rapidly. Tecnica Group is an example of how Italy is a credible industrial model. The company doesn’t chase trends, but anticipates them, and imposes them, staying true to itself. Somewhat similarly, remaining in the Treviso area in Maser, to Sidi Sport, a brand that deals in footwear for cyclists and motorcyclists acquired in 2022 by Italmobiliare. In 2024 the latter experienced +33% turnover, and the partial data for 2025 already shows +11%. Manager Rossetti is satisfied, and Pesenti even more: investing in Veneto manufacturing still proves to be good business.
