Tempe beats all records: Inditex’s footwear hub has closed 2018 at over 1.3 billion euros

A record 2018 for Tempe. The Spanish hub that designs, produces and distributes the footwear of the Spanish group Inditex (owner of Zara, Massimo Dutti and other brands), has closed the year with revenues of 1.347 billion euros, an increase of 5.7% compared to the previous year and a profit of 113 million euros, 39% more than 2017, when the profit fell by 14% to 81 million euros. The result of 2018 is the highest recorded so far by Tempe. The gross operating profit (Ebitda) alsohas  increased a lot: + 52% to 140 million euros. The data comes from Inditex’s consolidated balance sheet filed with the National Commission of Markets and Securities. Tempe was founded in 1989 and employs around 1,500 people. The registered office is that of Inditex in Arteixo (La Coruña), but the headquarters is in Elche (Alicante) where the world’s largest logistics center will soon be built.
