Campomaggi, “in the family” acquisition of Gabs

Campomaggi & Caterina Lucchi acquires Gabs, a brand that this company in Cesena already produced and distributed. The company, which closed 2015 with a turnover of 40 million euros, bought the bag brand designed by Florentine Franco Gabbrielli, who will stay on as creative director. Over recent years, Gabs bags have been successful also thanks to the possibility they offer for complete transformation through a system of turquoise coloured buttons that soon became the symbol of this colourful line. Acquisition of Gabs took place at the beginning of August but has only been announced now and is part of a development plan that saw the opening of the company’s first showroom in Milan last January (with the Campomaggi, Caterina Lucchi and Gabs brands), followed by opening of the first Campomaggi flagship store in Via della Spiga.
