Italian leather and Neapolitan craftsmanship for the new IKKS bags

Italian leather for the new IKKS bags. The flagship model, the 111 (which also gives its name to the complete collection) consists of three parts: 1 bag, 1 pochette and 1 strap, all removable and interchangeable. This collection comprises 6 bags, 6 pochettes and 8 straps, with 288 possible bag combinations. The Monica model, we read on the group’s website, is made in Naples from Italian crocodile-effect calfskin. Website has a whole section devoted to the leather used to make the bags.

The new IKKS bags

“With the designers, we decided to create a piece of leather goods that makes us free,” says former Saint Laurent Marianne Dreuilhe, creative director of IKSS, about the 111 model, as Fashion Network reports. The new leather goods collection is part of the growth strategy in accessories of the French group’s CEO Ludovic Manzon. The 111 collection will be marketed in 330 IKKS shops, in premium multi-brands and on the Place des Tendances platform, adds Dreuilhe. It will be possible to personalise the bag via a 3D digital tool. The chosen combination will then bear your name.

After debt restructuring

IKKS carried out a debt restructuring in 2018, and was taken over by creditors the following year. The French group, whose headquarters are located in the municipality of Sèvremoine, is structured around several companies: IKKS (women, men and children), One Step and I.Code. Although the group does not disclose its consolidated turnover, most of its affiliated companies grew in 2021, but did not return to the level of 2019.
