Revealing the soul of leather: discovering LP Designer Edition

Lineapelle Designers Edition returns, the platform that places experimentation and dialogue between designers, materials, and processes at its centre. The ninth edition of the event was presented on Tuesday at Spazio Lineapelle in Milan. From 26 February to 1 March, the Leather Fashion Hub in Piazza Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa will transform into an open laboratory: a place where leather becomes a language, a living material, and a tool for research. The event reaffirms its mission with renewed energy: to support young designers and demonstrate how this iconic material continues to generate visions, aesthetics, and narratives that speak to the present and reveal the very soul of leather. The programme includes nine fashion shows and four presentations, highlighting a project that grows, renews itself, and expands its reach.

Revealing the soul of leather

The tensile structure of the Leather Fashion Hub will host nine shows exploring vastly different aesthetic worlds: from OPOLAÌA’s haute couture, which balances East and West in luminous harmony, to Florania’s ethical and technological vision, transforming waste into new imaginaries. There will also be the contemporary seduction of 1972 DESA, Marco Rambaldi’s fusion of memory and revolution, and AENDÖR STUDIO’s avant-garde rigour. Chronos Corps will reimagine leather as post-apocalyptic armour, while ALCHÈTIPO will deconstruct it to reconstruct fluid identities. Tokyo James will take it into a territory of cultural energy and subversive tailoring, while Simon Cracker will reinvent it as a punk gesture of kindness, turning what is discarded into an act of rebirth.

The presentations

Alongside the shows, Spazio Lineapelle will host four presentations dedicated to accessories: Biagini, Amato Daniele, LA‑BÒ Milano, and Kamilla. Four different approaches to understanding leather — as heritage, responsibility, artistic gesture, or inner experience. Four stories that demonstrate how the Italian supply chain continues to serve as a global benchmark for quality, research, and vision.

A cultural platform

The event’s programme, promoted by UNIC – Italian Tanneries and Lineapelle, was presented on Tuesday by Fulvia Bacchi, CEO of Lineapelle and General Director of UNIC – Italian Tanneries, alongside Umberta Gnutti Beretta, Co-Founder and Co-Chair of CNMI Fashion Trust, and the featured designers. According to Gnutti Beretta, “the partnership with Lineapelle is crucial because it perfectly embodies our ideal of collaboration. Lineapelle supports our designers by providing leather, space for the shows, and in some cases assisting with part of the production of their collections”.

Fulvia Bacchi adds, “In a context where creativity in fashion is undergoing profound redefinition, Lineapelle Designers Edition takes on even greater significance. Supporting new creativity today means laying the foundations for the fashion of tomorrow”. In a sector facing a complex phase, Lineapelle Designers Edition responds with vision and a sense of community. Supporting new creativity means building today the foundations of the fashion of tomorrow.
