What you can’t miss at Lineapelle 107

Here we are: on Wednesday, Lineapelle 107 opens its doors to an edition that broadens its perspective across the entire supply chain, weaving together creativity, industry and design culture. For three days, from 11 to 13 February 2026, Fiera Milano Rho will once again become a dynamic hub where leather, technology, design and education converge in a rich, content-driven journey. The upcoming edition will welcome 848 exhibitors (436 tanneries, 290 accessory makers, 95 synthetics, 27 others) from 33 countries, confirming the event’s international centrality. Guiding the stylistic research will be the theme “Overview Effect”, which invites visitors to break free from habit and explore an aesthetic shaped by sensory materials, unexpected colours and new perspectives. Alongside the exhibition areas, special projects, immersive installations and technical-scientific talks will create a narrative that brings together innovation, responsibility and vision. Here is everything you should not miss at Lineapelle.

What you can’t miss

As tradition dictates, the Trend Area (Halls 1, 4 and 7) will showcase more than 2,000 samples previewing Summer 2027: “vegetalised” surfaces, reworked thicknesses, controlled sheen, increasingly sophisticated natural fibres and accessories oscillating between contemporary brightness and vintage references. The colour palette, built around evocative neologisms such as “Velombra”, “Kleinblue” and “Sognalba”, evokes an entirely new world.

Reinforcing the relationship between leather and design, Lineapelle Interiors also returns, bringing together 22 leather companies with high-end design brands to generate innovative interior solutions. In Hall 5, Lineapelle Après-Ski will take shape: a curated journey that weaves a narrative exploring the relationship between fashion, materials, fashion technologies, mountain culture and winter sports — an opportunity to bring Lineapelle directly into the heart of the Olympic Games.

Other events

The Amici per la Pelle competition, now in its 15th edition, will bring more than 1,000 middle-school students from Italy’s tanning districts to the fair. The works, inspired by the theme “Leather at High Altitude”, will be voted on and awarded on 13 February. As always, there will also be ample space for education, involving ACM, IED, IUAD, Design School Kolding, TLF and Accademia Nami. Training will take shape through projects, workshops, prototypes and international collaborations, showing how leather can engage with AI, multisensory design, artistic mosaic, advanced leather goods and regenerative processes.

Then there is the Fashion & Science Theatre, which will host a packed programme of talks: from the Fashion Pact to the Leather Leaders Roundtable, from the new CEN standard on traceability to the legal framework of the EUDR, as well as discussions on the circular bioeconomy, sustainability metrics and regenerative practices along the supply chain. The programme will also include a brand-new, exclusive talk. On Wednesday 11 February, journalist Mariella Milani will meet Antonio Marras, the Sardinian designer long recognised as a key figure in the fashion system, for a conversation on creativity as a transversal language capable of bringing together fashion, art and future visions. See you at Lineapelle!
