The continuous faith of Capasa, who sees sales growing 20%

The president of Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana knows the current period is critical. “Wars, China’s real estate troubles, the USA penalized by high inflation – he says -, the Middle East stalling… everything creates uncertainty”. And yet Carlo Capasa (in photo from archive of Imagoeconomica) isn’t letting his faith waver when it comes to the forecasts for the made in Italy chain. Even if dark times are affecting luxury brands and their suppliers, the belief is that the growth forecasts is of +20% in the next “five years”.

The continuous faith of Capasa

Capasa had provided the same forecast in early February: one and a half months of crisis and analysts claiming (in the best cases) single-digit growth didn’t change his mind. Of course though, he is aware the current context isn’t an easy one. “According to research we will have growing demand in the next 5 years, even considering this delicate 2024 – he admits to L’Economia de Il Corriere della Sera –. It’s a year filled with wars and international tensions”. Even so, he expects growth to still support the need for additional trainings. “Demand for made in Italy products will grow and we need to continue supporting the public-private education system”. Let’s hope he is right.
