China Retail: the great crisis of shoe vendors continues. After Belle, Daphne and Saturday Shoes close down

After Belle International – who faced problems since 2012 – even Daphne, the Taiwan-based giant does not perform as hoped. In 2016, its net losses have reached 819.1 million Hong Kong dollars equivalent to 99.55 million euro. It’s more than double compared to 2015. In confirmation of the serious crisis affecting the group, came the decision to close the well 999 stores last year across China. Saturday Shoes (based in Guangdong) suffered severe losses. The sign in 2016 recorded a decline in sales of 9.64%, losing on the road 203 million euro.
