Stefanel, the restructuring process continues: the search for a buyer for Asian rights is underway

After the restructuring process of Stefanel’s retail stores, 400 of them, the brand is selling off its rights in Asia. According to what reported by IlSole24Ore, Veneto-based group gave Mediobanca (bank) the go-ahead to find a buyer interested in the brand’s rights in the East. Stefanel is wellliked name over here, more so in Korea where revenue from retail is 20 million euro. The notoriety acquired in Asia has repercussions in the rest of the world, to the point that, as highlighted by the economic newspaper, sales from European stores see “Chinese buyers in first place among non-European buyers”. The decision to sell the rights is another step towards dealing with the 21-million-euro debt that the brand is facing and for which it has asked the court to set an agreement with creditors. The other important operation by the brand has to do with the investments made in digital activities as well as in the integration process between online and offline activities.
