Year of foundation: 1925; Turnover (2015): around 3 million euro; Employees: 27. Specialisation high-end for goatskin for footwear, small leather goods and, in particular, gloves. French nationality. It comes from Saint-Junien, the department of Haute-Vienne, Charente and Périgord, the news that the historic tannery Colombier (a typical family company whose foundation stone laid by Leon Colombier) is up for sale. The reasons for the decision is unclear. However, this could go back to the difficulty to allure a new generation. Colombier, exactly a year ago suffered a small fire (with no consequence to people or things).
