Russian Miratorg invest in a tannery “to supply top car companies”, reports Tass press agency

Russian Miratorg Agribusiness Holding are about to build up a tannery, located in the region of Bryansk, which is due to start working next autumn. The tannery will be a leather supplier for important car manufacturers, such as Porsche, BMW and Mercedes. The alleged news has been reported by Tass press agency, while quoting the announcements made by Bryansk’s governor, Alexander Bogomaz, during the international economic summit held in Saint Petersburg. “The tannery will make use of the best technologies and machinery from all over the world. In addition to that – pointed out governor Bogomaz – Miratorg will also be a leather supplier for a car-manufacturing group, based in the region of Kaluga, and for some shoe factories and leather goods manufacturers as well”. Talking about figures, they have been investing in the project over 3.4 billion rubles (around 47 million euros). Sticking to forecasts, the tannery, which is going to hire over 200 employees, will produce 200,000 to 400,000 leather units a year. Miratorg Agribusiness Holding, founded in 1995, currently work in 15 regions across Russia; they are Russia’s leading pork meat and mixed forage producer and supplier.
