Russia’s provisional wet blue export ban is turning permanent, as government renewed it for 6 more months

They did it again, or they are about to do it allegedly. As reported by international press, Russian government are ready to renew, for six more months, Russian wet blue export ban. They come up with the usual reasons: they aim to safeguard and protect domestic leather industry, and its business. Such decision is not a big surprise to us in the end. Likewise, we will not get surprised, next 10 December, when the (provisional) ban is due to expire, if Russia decides to renew it again. In fact, since 2014, they kept turning a “temporary” export stop into a permanent trade restriction, by renewing it every 6 months.
