Hyundai Transys x Lineapelle, the consul: “A meeting of excellences”

A meeting of excellences: Korean technology and cars on the one hand, Italian leather on the other. This is how Hyung-shik Kang, Consul General of South Korea in Milan (centre, in the photo), commented on the results of the collaboration between Hyundai Transys and Lineapelle. Admiring the prototype of the intelligent and sustainable car of the future (on display until June 12 at Spazio Lineapelle at Palazzo Gorani as part of Milan Design Week), the diplomat said: “I consider the partnership an excellent example of collaboration between the two countries, as well as a metaphor for the potential for developing future synergies”.

Meeting of excellence

Hyung-shik Kang visited the exhibition at Spazio Lineapelle on the afternoon of June 9. He has been living in Italy for about a year: “Even before, I was already familiar with and appreciated accessories made in Italy, which are known all over the world and much appreciated in my country,” he said. “Since I have been here, however, I have had the opportunity to participate in events during Lineapelle (international trade fair of leather and materials for fashion and design, ed.) and learn a lot more about Italian manufacturing”.

The project

Dani Group, Manifattura di Domodossola and D-House by Dyloan, among others, collaborated to the Hyundai Transis x Lineapelle project. “This prototype combines cutting-edge Korean technology with the quality of Italian materials,” concluded the diplomat. “I would certainly travel in such a car. I hope that this collaboration will open up new projects between the excellence of the two countries”.
