During the show’s three days (22-24 February), the public from 31 countries discovered the Spring – Summer 2023 collections of the 960 exhibitors. The 99th edition of Lineapelle closed with 13,000 visitors. The pavilions of Fieramilano Rho showed the liveliness of a proactive fashion industry in search of new normality after the shock of the pandemic. “The increasingly selective market, commented Gianni Russo, president of the fair trade body, “is oriented towards the search for maximum quality and service.

“This edition of Lineapelle – adds Russo – has confirmed its dominant role as a reference point in the exhibition context of the fashion & luxury industry“. The most important business experience for the supply of leather, materials, accessories, and components for fashion and luxury, the show could not receive Asian visitors. In the audience of 13,000, visitors from France, Spain, and the USA stood out. But also from Turkey, Germany, the UK, and Portugal. As we were saying, the search for quality of service and product translated into a rediscovery of nature, beauty and durability. Lineapelle 99, therefore, offered a cross-section of this “new world”, where fashion and style retake the stage.
All the events at the fair
The events that enriched Lineapelle 99 with an essential innovative vision in a green perspective, starting with A New Point of Materials, also attracted the public’s attention. The second edition of the project allows visitors to learn about the sustainable journey of leather, textile materials and technologies. There was also great interest in the samples of leathers, materials, and accessories for Summer 2023. They were exhibited in the three Trend Areas and were the protagonists of the regular and eagerly awaited seminars.
The car of the future (and manufacturing)
The spotlight was on the Shift to Regenative Mobility project, the result of two years of collaboration between Lineapelle and Hyundai Transys, with a high level of interaction and social sharing. Finally, success also for the Leather and its Circularity space, an exhibition of the most important business projects linked to the circular path of leather and Italian manufacturing.
The second edition of Mipel Lab
Great success also for the second edition of Mipel Lab, exhibition and digital concept dedicated to leather goods sourcing promoted by Assopellettieri and Lineapelle. “We close with success and satisfaction the second edition of Mipel Lab, which, at this point, represents an international reference point for anyone who wants to produce luxury leather goods – comments the president of Assopellettieri, Franco Gabbrielli -.
