Next stop: February 2026. To be precise, from Wednesday 11 to Friday 13. The location is Fiera Milano Rho, in the same halls used last September (1–3, 2–4, 5–7). These are the coordinates of Lineapelle 107, which — as stated in a press note — “aims to strengthen its identity as a space for creative development, stylistic direction and commercial exchange for a market still searching for a clear sense of direction”. This objective translates into a desire to issue “an invitation to change one’s point of view” and to present itself as “a space for the desire for novelty that is in the air”. A message conveyed from the very image chosen to represent the upcoming edition: Lineapelle is an apple.
Lineapelle is an apple
But not just any apple. “The slogan of this edition is The Unbound”, Lineapelle explains. “It reflects the need to position itself as an innovative laboratory for the supply chain, combined with the image of a purple apple — the fruit par excellence, a symbol of knowledge (and much more), yet in this colour, entirely unseen before”. Consequently, Lineapelle 107 intends to be “a gateway to the new and the possible, at a time when broader economic conditions remain subject to a contraction that will inevitably affect the unfolding of a trade fair where the tanning sector appears in full, reaffirming its role as the main exhibitor”. In other words, the current situation is “a critical phase that highlights a strong need for new models of vision”.
Overview effect
The trends developed by the Lineapelle Fashion Committeefor Summer 2027 follow the same line of thought. “Summarised in the concept Overview Effect, these trends explore the need for newness: for solutions that seek out colours never before seen; for concepts that support ‘a new way of looking at the world, free from habit’. It is the moment for ‘a craft that looks to the future’, for materials ‘increasingly natural and authentic’, where ‘the sensory dimension takes centre stage’. Materials and accessories need wonder and, consequently, must be able to inspire wonder”.
New developments and work in progress
On the organisational front, Lineapelle announces that February 2026 will see the return of Lineapelle Interiors. The third edition of the “exhibition project promoting the encounter between the fashion industry supply chain and the design economy. Lineapelle Interiors will present the result of 24 duets representing the highest expression of Made in Italy — the fusion of advanced manufacturing techniques and unique creativity. In doing so, Lineapelle Interiors positions itself as a bridge between fashion and design, generating new opportunities for development, enhancing Italian leathers and textiles, and fostering dialogue between companies and designers. Opening new pathways and breaking down, once again, barriers and entrenched habits”.
AiMateriality project
The “AiMateriality project will also return, in collaboration with Limitless, a company specialising in open innovation”. Limitless is among the promoters of Ingenium, the Italian platform designed to connect the Made in Italy sector with emerging technologies and Artificial Intelligence. The aim: “to spread digital culture by encouraging collaboration between start-ups and established companies”. For this, Lineapelle is — without doubt — the right place.
