Lineapelle London, a successful edition. In style, it is the beautiful but imperfect that comes out on top

One day, one shot. It is the intensity and simplicity of relations between Italian exhibitors (41 for this edition) and British visitors, professionals from big labels and emerging designers, that characterise Lineapelle London. The latest edition, yesterday at the Ham Yard Hotel, was no exception. There was a good response from the public, which crowded the stands where the tanneries offered previews for winter 2017/2018, and attentively followed the presentation of trends. As regards style, we can dare to speak of a future with leathers that are beautiful, but not perfect: that is to say that for fashion houses, as for end consumers, the idea has matured that leather is a material to be appreciated in its naturalness. The success of Lineapelle London reinforces expectations for the upcoming tradefair events: its spin off in New York, to be held on 19 and 20 July at the Metropolitan Pavilion, and the end of summer event at Fieramilano Rho (20-22 September), for an edition of Lineapelle that promises to be a record as regards the boom of exhibitors.
