Smiles and satisfaction. Expected up to a point, but above all hoped for. Yesterday, Lineapelle London woke up the City, underlining — despite its niche scale — that something is moving. In other words, 2026 is off to a good start: with no triumphalism, of course, but with the awareness that buyer interest is there. This is borne out by the growing number of visitors to the spaces at the Ham Yard Hotel. A sign of vitality (tempered by a necessary realism) that benefits everyone.
2026 gets off to a good start
The 48 exhibitors (31 tanneries, 11 accessories suppliers and 6 synthetic materials producers) closed the 31st edition of Lineapelle London satisfied. And that, given the (long) times we are living through, is already very good news. “Good footfall”, they told us. “A positive day, during which we met our regular clients as well as some new faces”. The result: attendance figures approaching +10% compared with last year’s edition, and up 22% on the one held in July 2026. So yes, let’s say it plainly: 2026 has got off to a good start.

And now, on to New York
With the one-day event in London wrapped up, attention now turns to New York. On Wednesday 28 and Thursday 29 January, the baton passes to Lineapelle New York, which “for 48 editions has been capturing the interest of the US market by presenting a refined and exclusive selection of leathers, materials, accessories and components”. In Manhattan, at the Metropolitan Pavilion, “89 exhibitors will be present (70 tanneries, 8 accessories suppliers, 10 synthetic materials producers and 1 services provider). Worth noting is the presentation of the project The Circular Shift, a concept based on the Circular Mobility System developed by South Korea’s Hyundai Transys in partnership with Lineapelle and Poltrona Frau”. The Circular Shift is the second chapter in the collaboration between Lineapelle and Hyundai Transys.
