The charge of 715: present and future starting again from Lineapelle

Everything is ready for Lineapelle’s return in presence. The reference exhibition for those who have to develop research into materials for the fashion, accessory, design and automotive manufacturing industries will be held at Fieramilano Rho on September 22-24. And it will effectively close the train of Milanese trade fair events, united by the hashtag #RestartTogether (Micam, Mipel, TheOneMilano, on the agenda on September 19-21). An edition full of expectations, but also of initiatives and projects. Demonstrating that, for the supply chain, present and future start from Lineapelle.

Present and future starting again from Lineapelle

“The next edition of Lineapelle”, writes the exhibition secretariat, “will be back with 715 exhibitors from 24 countries. It will do so with maximum security, reserving access to Green Pass holders only (to read Lineapelle’s full anti-Covid Protocol click here). And it does so by developing a concrete and challenging exhibition project that adopts (as in September 2020) the simplified formula of unified stands”. A formula that aims to put the spotlight in an (almost) exclusive way on the product, “There are many expectations for this edition – comments the CEO of Lineapelle, Fulvia Bacchi -, which has already registered a good number of accreditations from buyers, including international ones. In these pandemic months, the companies present at LINEAPELLE have continued to work on the development of products in terms of their creative content, but above all, environmentally more and more sustainable”.

Rediscovered wonder

Stylistically, the upcoming edition of Lineapelle presents the winter season 2022-2023. Mood: “Imagination & Re-Wonder”. Objective: “To rediscover wonder, leaving the helm to imagination and experimentation, with the spontaneous consequence of starting a process of creative revival. A search for positivity that intercepts naturalness and technology, reassuring colours and materials capable of expressing their innovative charge in a futuristic way. Starting with leather and its infinite possibilities of development, combination and experimentation”.

New looks

Design synergies, innovative fronts, sustainable panoramas. Lineapelle, beyond the exhibition event, proposes a series of new generation’s initiatives and impact across the supply chain. For example, A New Point of Materials organised in collaboration with D-house (Dyloan Urban Laboratory) and C.L.A.S.S. (Creativity Lifestyle and Sustainable Synergy) and the consultancy of international fashion consultant Orietta Pelizzari. In a nutshell, this is “a critical space for in-depth analysis, information and debate where a careful selection of new-generation leathers, materials and technologies, characterised by undisputed innovative and responsible content, is presented through a 360-degree account covering their entire production cycle”. This will be accompanied by live performances and talks “on the most trending topics regarding the green approach to production, corporate finance and retail”.

Systemic approach

There will also be space for the “launch of Mipel Lab, a new trade fair format developed in synergy with Assopellettieri”. Namely, an “event dedicated to leather sourcing, that aims to intercept brands and startups to put them in contact with the best manufacturers and suppliers able to meet their production needs”. Not only, “Lineapelle will also be a protagonist at Micam X, on September 19-21”, where “it will present a selection of leathers and materials for the summer season 2022”.

World Leather Contest

Finally, “the educational focus aimed at training tomorrow’s designers”. During Lineapelle, there will be “the award ceremony for the World Leather Contest, a creative competition promoted in Italy in collaboration with UNIC – Italian Tanneries with the theme Real Leather. Stay Different. Students from Istituto Marangoni in Milan, Polimoda in Florence and Accademia Costume & Moda in Rome took part in the project”. The finalists’ creations will be exhibited at the fair.
