ttheMicam closed its doors with a 5.2% increase in attendance. The edition that ended yesterday in fact recorded 44,668 visitors of which 26,543 from abroad, up 8.4%. German presence was good with a 27% increase, topping the ranks in terms of numbers. The best performances came from Asian countries with South Korea up by 37% and China by 30%. “theMicam has attracted exhibitors and visitors from all countries, confirming its unique allure and its credibility as a leading international fair for quality footwear – stated the president of Assocalzaturifici Annarita Pilotti – The fair is very much alive and kicking, and the result, particularly expectations, is a testament to that which for us is the source of great satisfaction. Unfortunately the market is still suffering: domestic demand keeps falling, but the increase in Italian buyers recorded here means hope springs eternal for an upward trend”.
