Milan Men’s Fashion warms up the engines: starts on Friday January 10

Menswear on stage for the presentation of 2020-2021 winter collections in Milan, from January 10 to 14. The calendar started in London (January 4-6) and now touches down in Italy. The next appointment is Paris, from January 14 to 19. Then, there is New York (February 2-4). From Friday January 10, Milan Men’s Fashion will stage a program divided into fashion shows and presentations of the 77 brand collections.

Who returns and who debuts

The opening traditionally is up to Ermenegildo Zegna. But this time DSquared is also celebrateing 25 years of activity. Various big names are returning to the catwalk in Milan. Gucci (closing on the 14th), Iceberg, Miaoran, MSGM, N.21, Prada, Salvatore Ferragamo, Alexander McQueen. Harmont & Blaine also returns. Instead, Fabio Quaranta, Danish Han Kjøbenhavn and Chinese Reshake will debut. Then: Philippe Model Paris, Piacenza Cashmere, KB Hong, United Standard, Marinella, Matchless London, B + Plus and Chorustyle. Worthy of note is Marco De Vincenzo fashion show which, since last season, has also been dedicated to men.

A partnership with the British Fashion Council

The news of the Milanese event is represented by the partnership with the British Fashion Council, bringing part of London Fashion Week to Italy. The London Show Rooms event is in via Savona 56 for the presentation of the collections of 10 British and 5 Italian new talents. The centrepiece of the location is the artistic installation that presents the new fashion trends, with the contribution of Italian students who attend the best fashion schools in London. The focus is on diversity and the event is open to the city. Finally, on January 13 at Palazzo del Ghiaccio, A Cold Wall fashion show. In other words, the winner of the British Designer Menswear Fund & Newgen contest.

Capasa: increasingly international

For CNMI (National Chamber of Italian Fashion) president Carlo Capasa, “the ongoing collaborations will give us the opportunity to make Milan Men’s Fashion even more international. Hosting fashion shows of emerging international designers is a challenge that excites us”.
