Who said that Bally’s buyer has to be Asian? “News sources mentioned names of possible buyers, mostly Asian ones, … but in reality it is different, we received interest from big names from all over the world”. It is Frédéric de Narp (Bally’s Ceo), who suggests that around the brand up for sale of the JAB group, there are perspective buyers from all over the world. Moreover, talking to Milano Finanza Fashion (Italian newspaper), reminds everybody why many are interested in his group: “The brand’s results are exceptional, sales of the 2017/18 winter collection have registered a growth in the double digits for Men and Women. Moreover, our Summer 2018 collection registered a 20% increment, which is the best performance of the last 10 years”. While de Narp says that soon there will be more news regarding Bally’s future, Alexander Wang restructures his brand’s management. The stylist refused the position as Ceo, and gives it to Lisa Gersh, while it nominates Stephanie Horton (previously at Farfetch) in the newly created role of Chief Strategy Officer. Wang is therefore left with the roles of President, and creative director of the brand.
