From London to New York: Lineapelle’s sneak previews say “yes”- PHOTOGALLERY

Da Londra a New York: le preview di Lineapelle dicono “sì” - FOTOGALLERY

Lineapelle is calling, and the market answers back. London and New York fairs, which are the sneak previews of the most important business experience in the leather industry, have sent a very interesting feedback. Undoubtedly, Lineapelle London (which took place at the Ham Yard Hotel, on Tuesday 21st January) has sent very comforting messages. As regards Lineapelle New York (which took place at the Metropolitan Pavilion, on January 29-30), the event proved its stability, yet highlighting some difficulties American clients and buyers are currently dealing with.

Lineapelle London

Lineapelle London sent a comforting message, soundly detected by exhibitors who took part in the fair. There were 43 in total (32 coming from Italy, 11 foreigners): more specifically, 28 tanners and 15 manufacturers of accessories, components and fabrics/synthetics joined the exhibition. Good news with regard to figures, primarily. In fact, compared to 2019, visitors increased by 12%. Yet, comforting messages with regard to quality as well. Buyers, British fashion brands, self-employed creative designers and style consulting companies showed high interest in the event. For the records, Brexit did not affect relations between visitors and exhibitors (it had no effects on the past editions either). Next edition is scheduled on Tuesday, 7 July 2020.

Lineapelle New York

Once again, Lineapelle New York proved to be a benchmark to top North American clients and buyers, as much as a creative energy to drive the market, which is consistently searching for innovative works. Yet, on the other hand, the exhibition also highlighted the importance of economic difficulties, currently underway, on a worldwide scale. LP New York has been tackling the curiosity of buyers, who care about prices obsessively and, at the same time, search for innovation, in terms of products and processes, and style standards, while looking ahead at summer 2021. 129 exhibitors turned up at the Metropolitan Pavilion: 78 of them were from Italy, while 51 were foreigners. 93 tanners and 36 manufacturers, which specialize in accessories, components and fabrics/synthetics, joined the exhibition as well. Next edition is scheduled on 15-16 July 2020.
