Pharrell Williams' Vuitton debut: the video of the show

A spectacular fashion show. Pharrell Williams‘ debut as creative director of Louis Vuitton Homme left everyone breathless. The Parisian fashion show turned the spotlight on Pont Neuf at sunset (on Tuesday, 20 June 2023) and involved a true parade of stars. From Zendaya to Beyoncé, from Jay Z to Jared Leto. Then: Kim Kardashian, Lebron James, Naomi Campbell, Lenny Kravitz. The complete list of the first “Louis Vuitton LoVers” – a name coined for the show -, however, would be very long. All dressed in designer looks by the pop star chosen by Vuitton to pick up the baton from Virgil Abloh. A heavy legacy that the American artist seems to have exorcised, passing the debut test with flying colours.

Pharrell Williams’ debut

A sort of pixelated camouflage, reminiscent of the Damier (chequered) motif so dear to the brand, was the star of this Spring-Summer 2024 collection. A mood already renamed “Damoflage” that plays with printed graphics on leather jackets and suits, hats, bags, suitcases and trunks. Pharrell proposes a new street wear, contaminated by tailored garments and hyper-decorated precious details. A formula that had already worked with Abloh and that is now renewed, almost as if it were the continuation of his path.
