Assocalzaturifici confirms Giovanna Ceolini as president

Assocalzaturifici confirms Giovanna Ceolini as President. She will remain in office for three years. The three fundamental points of her programme are internationalisation, training and valorisation of subcontracting companies. But there will also be a reorganisation of the fair Micam. The vice-presidents have been chosen: Giuseppe Baiardo, Luisa Benigno, Giuseppe Camerlengo and Valentino Fenni. Now, only the choice of the new director is missing.

The Lombard entrepreneur leads Parabiago Collezioni (founded in 1999) and took over as regent of the association after Siro Badon resigned at the end of July 2022. Flanking her will be four vice-presidents. Giuseppe Baiardo, with responsibility for training and orientation. Luisa Benigno for enterprise culture and production strategies. Giuseppe Camerlengo for International Affairs. Valentino Fenni for Russia, CIS Area, and Made in Italy. One of the next tasks for the renewed leadership of Assocalzaturifici will be to identify the director.

A demanding job

“A challenging job awaits us. We must respond to a difficult economic situation, in a geopolitical framework dominated by uncertainty, with initiatives and projects that support our companies on international markets”, says the president. Above all, she urges members to “come back to dialogue and frank and constructive discussion’” During the assembly, Ceolini highlighted the most salient aspects of her programme, from internationalisation to training, collaborating with leading technical institutes and professional schools to encourage generational change. Other objectives include the valorisation of subcontracting companies to defend the traditional craftsmanship of Italian manufacturing. Ceolini also announces a reorganisation of Micam’s fair spaces and the consolidation of Cimac.
